St James’s Palace

History:

Friary Court, one of four courtyards at St James’s Palace, is the meeting place of the Accession Council, the ceremonial body which assembles upon the death of a monarch to proclaim the successor to the throne. The Changing of the Guard departs every day from Friary Court, leading down The Mall towards the gates of Buckingham Palace.

Scope of Works:

The project involved the removal of the existing boiler plant and replacement with three new boilers, pumps and associated pipework. A new BMS management system was installed with the facility to access this via site based computer. Other works included the replacement of Plant Room lighting and power and a new flue liner for condensing the boiler plant. The team worked closely to ensure limited disruption to the Royal Household within an occupied environment. An exciting project to be involved with and we thank The Royal Household for entrusting us to deliver.
