Kensington Palace

History

Kensington Palace is a royal residence set in Kensington Gardens, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in London, England. It has been a residence of the British Royal Family since the 17th century. Today, the State Rooms are open to the public and managed by the independent charity Historic Royal Palaces. The palace also displays many paintings and other items from the Royal Collection.

Scope of Works

Following a successful delivery of the Queen's gallery project ,EVB were awarded electrical services refurbishment for the King's Gallery and associated royal chambers over an 11 month program. A new low energy lighting system, distribution fuseboards and all associated MICC cabling were carefully installed in accordance with heritage requirements. We are very proud have been involved in such a prestigious heritage project and we thank Historic Royal Palaces Surveyor of the Fabrics team for all their hard work and help. The lighting effects for paintings and displays look stunning!
