Kenwood House

History

Kenwood House and its incredible art collection was bequeathed to the nation by Lord Iveagh in 1927. EV Bullen were proud to be a part of the team that carried out the Lottery backed renovation ‘Caring for Kenwood’.

Scope of Works

EVBullen have been associated with Kenwood House for many years and were very pleased to be involved in this 12 month project. Following a successful tendering process we were appointed as the clients electrical installation contractors.

The project initially involved new low level LED escape lighting and 5A lighting sockets linked to the existing chandelier positions in the South rooms and Adam library.

This escalated to the installation of specialist LED picture lighting. The latter involved specialist H/L brass picture rail in the south rooms and track lighting fitted to the entablature in the main library. Extensive luminaire focusing achieved the best lighting render for the extensive art collection.

The additional installation of a new disabled lift necessitated a complete rewire of the lighting and power in the reception and control room areas, that also included the replacement and renewal of the existing UPS system.
