Scope of Works
We were employed as the principal contractor to replace the central boiler and hot water system plant serving this eighty room student residence building. All works were carried out during the summer recess and included the replacement of shower doors and complete redecoration of all bedrooms and common areas. The existing heating and HWS plant were decommissioned and replaced with two Hamworthy modular boilers with a total Brunel capacity of 480kw. These were coupled to two Rycroft 800 litre indirect calorifiers, together with all new pipe work, pumps and BMS controls. A new water pressure boosting system was also installed to improve the water distribution to students’ showers. The contract was completed with the 14 week time frame and costs were contained within our client’s budget.
